To create a vintage but updated look to the lighting, Jeri chose barn style fixtures characterized by a fluted look, including <a title="goosenecks" href="http://www.barnlightelectric.com/gooseneck-barn-lights/gooseneck-lighting/barn-light-radial-wave-16-to-24-shade-gas-station">goosenecks</a>, <a title="pendants" href="http://www.barnlightelectric.com/pendant-lighting/barn-pendant-lights/barn-light-radial-wave-pendant-12-24">pendants</a>, and <a title="sconces" href="http://www.barnlightelectric.com/wall-sconce-lighting/barn-wall-sconces/barn-light-radial-wave-sconce-12-16">sconces</a>. In addition, <a title="Radial Cast Guard fixtures" href="http://www.barnlightelectric.com/wall-sconce-lighting/rustic-wall-sconces/barn-light-radial-cast-guard-cgu-sconce">Radial Cast Guard fixtures</a> and a <a title="Machine Age Polished Copper Ceiling Fan" href="http://www.barnlightelectric.com/barn-ceiling-fans/vintage-ceiling-fans/machine-age-polished-copper-ceiling-fan">Machine </a><a href="http://www.barnlightelectric.com/wall-sconce-lighting/barn-wall-sconces/barn-light-radial-wave-sconce-12-16"><img class="alignright size-medium wp-image-17834" title="barn_light_radial_wave_pendant_exterior" src="http://www.blog.barnlightelectric.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/barn_light_radial_wave_pendant_exterior-199x300.jpg" alt="" width="199" height="300" /></a><a title="Machine Age Polished Copper Ceiling Fan" href="http://www.barnlightelectric.com/barn-ceiling-fans/vintage-ceiling-fans/machine-age-polished-copper-ceiling-fan">Age Polished Copper Ceiling Fan</a> create a warm glow that highlight the beauty of Rooster Ridge.</p>
<p><strong>Q: What shape was the house in when you started the renovation?</strong><br />
A: The house had previously been renovated in 1984 and this most recent project created only 20 additional square feet. This project was more about upgrading and updating the heating and air conditioning, the roof, appliances, and, of course, the lighting.</p>
<p><strong>Q: What was your overall goal as far as design renovations?</strong><br />
A: The driving force behind all decisions was to pay as much attention to detail as possible. Each area was addressed individually to highlight the space and what it would eventually contain.</p>
<p><strong>Q: What feel were you striving for? <a href="http://www.barnlightelectric.com/gooseneck-barn-lights/gooseneck-lighting/barn-light-radial-wave-16-to-24-shade-gas-station"><img class=" wp-image-17837 alignleft" src="http://www.blog.barnlightelectric.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/barn_light_radial_wave_gooseneck_exterior-300x199.jpg" alt="" width="285" height="189" /></a></strong><br />
A: We developed a style which incorporated vintage and industrial pieces &#8212; the original version of recycling! We captured the charm from antiques and collectibles and yet were able to function in the present by also using <em>new</em> vintage pieces.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>Q: Why did you choose lighting from Barn Light Electric for this house?</strong><br />
A: From a style aspect, we find it creates a vintage feeling while still remaining fresh and upscale. As we have a barn at Rooster Ridge, the <a title="barn style lighting" href="http://www.thebarnlight.com/">barn style lighting</a> is a natural; however, bringing it indoors as we did created a conversational impact that we thoroughly enjoy. Guests always comment on the lighting!</p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.barnlightelectric.com/pendant-lighting/barn-pendant-lights/barn-light-radial-wave-pendant-12-24"><img class="alignright size-medium wp-image-17838" title="barn_light_radial_wave_pendant_outdoor" src="http://www.blog.barnlightelectric.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/barn_light_radial_wave_pendant_outdoor-253x300.jpg" alt="" width="253" height="300" /></a>Q: What do you like best about your new lights?</strong><br />
A: The appearance which includes the aspect of quality. The lights create a mood and make a huge statement both from a style perspective and quality. The lights are solid looking, command attention, and evoke a warmth and vintage charm as a welcome to our door.</p>

If you live in the city, you might choose a beach vacation. Or if you live close to the shore, you might escape to <a title="The Cove at Fairview" href="http://www.thecoveatfairview.com/" target="_blank">The Cove at Fairview</a>, a stunning vacation spot nestled in the Blue Ridge mountains of western North Carolina.</p>
<p>The Dixon family of Fairview, a small community located just outside of Asheville, has built five vacation homes on their 24-acre property, the newest of which is called The Huntley. This impressive structure, complete with three stacked-stone fireplaces, blends <a href="http://www.barnlightelectric.com/discount-lighting/warehouse-lighting-1/schoolhouse-pendant"><img class="alignright size-medium wp-image-17719" title="schoolhouse_pendant_light" src="http://www.blog.barnlightelectric.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/schoolhouse_pendant-200x300.jpg" alt="" width="200" height="300" /></a>beautifully with the natural elements of the surrounding woods. The Dixons wanted this new home to have a modern, updated feel without losing the rustic charm of a mountain cabin. Barn lights from <strong>Barn Light Electric</strong> were a natural choice for this space.</p>
<p>In the kitchen on the main floor, our <a title="All Weather Stem Mount Farm Light" href="http://www.barnlightelectric.com/discount-lighting/discount-barn-lighting/all-weather-farm-light-stem-mount">All Weather Stem Mount Farm Light</a> with a rust-colored powder coat finish hangs from a shelf over the kitchen sink easily lighting up the task at hand. As you head up the stairs to the top floor, an <a title="All Weather Gooseneck Warehouse Shade" href="http://www.barnlightelectric.com/discount-lighting/discount-barn-lighting/all-weather-gooseneck-warehouse-shade">All Weather Gooseneck Warehouse Shade</a>, with the same rust powder coat finish, illuminates the landing. Heading to the lower level, the owners chose a <a title="Schoolhouse Pendant" href="http://www.barnlightelectric.com/discount-lighting/warehouse-lighting-1/schoolhouse-pendant">Schoolhouse Pendant</a> with a rubbed bronze finish to light up the stairway.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.barnlightelectric.com/discount-lighting/discount-barn-lighting/all-weather-gooseneck-10-angle-shade"><img class="alignleft size-medium wp-image-17717" title="gooseneck_angle_shade" src="http://www.blog.barnlightelectric.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/gooseneck_angle_shade-200x300.jpg" alt="" width="200" height="300" /></a>On the cozy bottom floor, the fireplace is flanked by two <a title="All Weather Gooseneck Angle Shades" href="http://www.barnlightelectric.com/discount-lighting/discount-barn-lighting/all-weather-gooseneck-10-angle-shade">All Weather Gooseneck Angle Shades</a> that show off not only the beautiful stone work but the unique twig loveseat handmade by a local craftsman.</p>
<p>Visitors to The Huntley will enjoy watching the stars from the hot tub tucked away on a deck near the woods or playing pool under the covered porch by a wood-burning fireplace. Full of modern conveniences and a hint of rustic cabin charm, The Huntley is a hidden gem in the North Carolina mountains.</p>

Deeradise of course! That was the name chosen by this family when they first purchased their 4-acre lot in early 2011 and started dreaming of building. Finishing touches were completed just in time for the family to ring in the new year in their new home.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.barnlightelectric.com/wall-sconce-lighting/rustic-wall-sconces/barn-light-wall-mount-h-cgu-ss-sconce-clone-2"><img class="alignleft size-medium wp-image-17616" src="http://www.blog.barnlightelectric.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/atomic_cast_guard_sconce3-300x225.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="225" /></a>In addition to lots of wood throughout, sliding barn-style doors on the closets, and <a title="vintage jelly jar" href="http://www.barnlightelectric.com/vintage-industrial-lighting/ceiling-lighting/vintage-ball-perfect-blue-mason-jar-pendant">vintage jelly jar</a> chandeliers, the owners of Deeradise chose rustic Barn Light Electric <a title="Atomic Cast Guard CGU Sconces" href="http://www.barnlightelectric.com/wall-sconce-lighting/rustic-wall-sconces/barn-light-wall-mount-h-cgu-ss-sconce-clone-2" target="_blank">Atomic Cast Guard CGU-SS Sconces</a> to welcome visitors to their front door. Placed on either side of the door, these sconces throw plenty of light onto the doorstep and beyond.</p>
<p>These fixtures are one of our top-selling lights because they are adaptable to so many different rooms and styles. The CGU sconce is rated for wet locations but is perfectly suitable for interior use as well. For a compatible look, check out the Barn Light <a title="Wall Moount Double CGU Sconce" href="http://www.barnlightelectric.com/wall-sconce-lighting/rustic-wall-sconces/barn-light-ceiling-wall-mount-double-cgu-sconce">Wall Mount Double CGU Sconce</a> which adds a perfect touch of light over a bathroom sink. Or try the <a title="Atomic Topless Wire Guard WGU Sconce" href="http://www.barnlightelectric.com/wall-sconce-lighting/rustic-wall-sconces/barn-light-atomic-topless-wire-guard-wgu-sconce">Atomic Topless Wire Guard WGU Sconce</a> for a sleeker, simpler look. This piece works well in utility rooms or work spaces.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.barnlightelectric.com/pendant-lighting/rustic-pendant-lights/barn-light-cgu-ss-pendant"><img class="alignright size-medium wp-image-17636" title="atomic_cast_guard_pendant" src="http://www.blog.barnlightelectric.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/15z-300x225.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="225" /></a>The front of the Deeradise cabin featues a soaring roofline on the entryway and tucked up high in the rafters hangs a Barn Light <a title="Atomic Cast Guard SS Pendant" href="http://www.barnlightelectric.com/pendant-lighting/rustic-pendant-lights/barn-light-cgu-ss-pendant" target="_blank">Atomic Cast Guard SS Pendant</a>. Not only does it add charm to the front porch and match the sconces perfectly, but its light shines down as a welcoming beacon to all. This pendant can be customized to fit your space with a variety of finish colors and styles and can be hung with either a stem mount or a cord mount. Glass colors can even be customized to fit your particular look.</p>

Consumers are shunning the big box stores and seeking out smaller, independent sources for everything from clothes to baked goods to fresh seafood. In Asheville, North Carolina, the locally owned <a title="Blue Water Seafood Company" href="http://www.bluewaterseafood.net/main/" target="_blank">Blue Water Seafood Company</a> has made a home for itself in a renovated, historic building near downtown that has a distinctive urban feel. Adding to the ambiance are <a title="Pendant Barn Lights" href="http://www.barnlightelectric.com/pendant-lighting/barn-pendant-lights/">pendant barn lights</a> suspended from the tin ceiling that was restored during the renovation work.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">These small, yet striking pendants are similar to Barn Light Electric&#8217;s <a title="Wire Cage Pendant" href="http://www.barnlightelectric.com/discount-lighting/warehouse-lighting-1/wire-guard-pendant">Wire Cage Pendant</a>, part of our discount collection of barn lighting. These lights lend a definite industrial feel to this cozy restaurant and market, and provide plenty of direct lighting on the catch of the day. The wire cage, once used to protect the bulb in warehouse settings, now adds a vintage touch to the fixture. For another similar look, check out the <a title="Barn Light Fargo Pendant" href="http://www.barnlightelectric.com/pendant-lighting/barn-pendant-lights/fargo-pendant">Barn Light Fargo Pendant</a> with the drop wire cage option which is available in a variety of finishes.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;"><a href="http://www.barnlightelectric.com/pendant-lighting/barn-pendant-lights/barn-light-warehouse-pendant-12-to-27-shade-1"><img class="size-medium wp-image-17509 alignright" src="http://www.blog.barnlightelectric.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/barn_light_pendant-197x300.jpg" alt="" width="197" height="300" /></a>In addition to the small pendants over the seafood counter, large pendant barn lights, much like our popular <a title="Warehouse Pendants" href="http://www.barnlightelectric.com/pendant-lighting/barn-pendant-lights/barn-light-warehouse-pendant-12-to-27-shade-1">Warehouse Pendants</a>, illuminate each table within the restaurant. These fixtures provide a soft, yet wide pool of light spilling directly onto the table. This particular style of light has been around for more than 100 years and adds its own historic touch to any venue. While other lighting designs have followed each new trend, this RLM-inspired shade stays true to its iconic roots.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">To stay with a vintage look, choose a classic finish like galvanized, brushed patina, or painted rosewood. To give this fixture a more modern bent, pick a bolder color from our palette of finishes. Then add the perfect final touch to your space with a matching <a title="Wire Cage Sconce" href="http://www.barnlightelectric.com/discount-lighting/warehouse-lighting-1/wire-guard-scone-en">Wire Cage Sconce</a> or perhaps a <a title="Three Light Wire Cage Chandelier" href="http://www.barnlightelectric.com/discount-lighting/warehouse-lighting-1/wire-guard-scone">Three-Light Wire Cage Chandelier</a>.</p>

What that means is that you need to bring the same look that you have indoors, out. When someone pulls into your driveway, what do you want that first impression to be of?</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">Capstone Dwellings | Design Build, based in British Columbia, Canada, specializes in building a home for <em>you</em>, the unique homeowner. While this particular home today has relatively traditional lines, the exterior materials used make it edgy and modern. Because of their modest budget, extreme creativity was used to get the most bang for the buck – something we can all relate to, right?</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">Metal siding is paired up with cherry wood trim to make the face of the home contrast against the towering forests in the background. Also, an easily maintainable yard consists of rock and gravel so one will never have to break out the lawnmower on the weekend! It’s an absolute definite that this home has taken elements from the railroad era; from the wooden beams, to the gravel found by the tracks, all the way to the <strong>retro pendant</strong> in the eaves of the entryway.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.barnlightelectric.com/pendant-lighting/rustic-pendant-lights/barn-light-cgu-retro-pendant"><img class="alignleft size-medium wp-image-16919" title="modern_home_exterior_retro_pendant" src="http://www.blog.barnlightelectric.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/Screen-shot-2011-12-13-at-3.29.59-PM-181x300.png" alt="" width="181" height="300" /></a>That ceiling light happens to be the <a title="CGU Retro Pendant" href="http://www.barnlightelectric.com/pendant-lighting/rustic-pendant-lights/barn-light-cgu-retro-pendant">CGU Retro Pendant</a>, one of our most unique <a title="rustic pendant lights" href="http://www.barnlightelectric.com/pendant-lighting/rustic-pendant-lights/">rustic pendant lights</a>. Bethany of Capstone Dwellings made the wise choice to use a weathered copper finish; the clear coat over the shade makes it somewhat weather proof, but a natural aged patina will start to appear over time. As opposed to commonly used outdoor iron lanterns or flush mount lights, this <strong>rustic railroad pendant</strong> fully contributes to the unique home&#8217;s design.</p>
<p>If you’re interested in the CGU Retro Pendant, but not sure if it will work in your space, no need to worry! Over 40 different finishes and various mounting options help to it perfect for any area &#8211; whether minimalistic modern or <a title="industrial farmhouse" href="http://www.industrialfarmhouse.com/">industrial farmhouse</a>. If you plan on hanging it outside, always remember that the stem mount option is a must in order to protect the wiring from moisture.</p>

<p style="text-align: left;">Have you ever heard of <strong><a title="RLM Lighting" href="http://www.blog.barnlightelectric.com/rlm-gooseneck-lighting-for-residential-and-commercial-projects/">RLM Lighting</a></strong>? Probably not, unless you’re a contractor, lighting history buff, or even a long time reader of our blog. For those of you out there that have never heard the term, here is a brief background&#8230;</p>
<p>These particular lights were found primarily in agricultural and industrial portions of the country. They utilized a <strong>warehouse shade</strong> and offered a large spread of light with the durability to last decades. These lights were popular throughout the 1930s and 40s when mass production was in full swing. They&#8217;ve recently made a big comeback and it&#8217;s likely you&#8217;ve noticed similar styles in homes and businesses today.</p>
<p>True to the industrial fashion is the Wire Cage Pendant, shown above on the left. Found in our <a title="Discount Warehouse Lighting" href="http://www.barnlightelectric.com/discount-lighting/warehouse-lighting-1/">Discount Warehouse Lighting</a> section, this ceiling lamp is available in classic finishes such as satin nickel and rubbed bronze for a refined look on an otherwise rustic light. Wire cages like these were used on <strong>commercial RLM lights </strong>to help protect the interior light bulb from debris and getting broken.</p>
<p>Another popular <a title="discount barn light" href="http://www.barnlightelectric.com/discount-lighting/"><strong>discount barn light</strong></a> is the All Weather Deep Bowl Gooseneck Light, shown above in the center. This fixture is a modern day version of classic, older designs and is very popular in residential areas today. The deep bowl directs light downwards as opposed to a warehouse shade, however, it features a white interior for maximum reflection of light.</p>
<p>Last but not least is the notable <a title="8-10&quot; Warehouse Pendant Light" href="http://www.barnlightelectric.com/pendant-lighting/barn-pendant-lights/barn-light-warehouse-pendant-8-to-10">Warehouse Pendant Light</a> found on the right. As one of our smaller <strong>RLM lights</strong>, this ceiling lamp is one of our most customizable designs as it is available in over 40 finish options and can be cord or stem mounted for outdoor use. If you prefer a gooseneck arm for exterior use, check out the Artesia Gooseneck Barn Light.</p>

<p>If you’ve got a larger pantry space, tucked behind plain, slatted doors, it&#8217;s time to take those doors down. Let&#8217;s get creative with your shelving and create a mini buffet area like you see on the right. Leave the upper shelving and use them to store dry goods like flour, sugar or cereals. You can even use the shelving to showcase your collection of serving dishes and platters, as opposed to tucking them away for no one to see. If you&#8217;re lucky enough to have a piece of <a title="vintage industrial furniture" href="http://www.barnlightelectric.com/industrial-furniture/">vintage industrial furniture</a> like this chest of drawers, you can use it to store towels, silverware or table cloths. Talk about the potential for organization with all of those drawers!</p>
<p><a href="http://www.barnlightelectric.com/pendant-lighting/barn-pendant-lights/fargo-pendant"><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-15352" title="fargo_pendant_light" src="http://www.blog.barnlightelectric.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/00033.jpg" alt="" width="168" height="443" /></a>Now that we’ve got your creative juices flowing, it&#8217;s time to think about <a title="pendant lighting" href="http://www.barnlightelectric.com/pendant-lighting/barn-pendant-lights/">pendant lighting</a> for this little area. Recessed lighting is too plain and doesn&#8217;t evoke much character &#8211; but what if you don&#8217;t have a junction box in this area either? Our solution? Swagging your pendant light over a hook. It&#8217;s a quick and easy fix and doesn&#8217;t require the help of an expensive electrician.</p>
<p>Consider a delicate and simple pendant lamp like <a title="Fargo Pendant" href="http://www.barnlightelectric.com/pendant-lighting/barn-pendant-lights/fargo-pendant">The Fargo</a> to elegantly light this small space. Shown in aged brass on the left, the Fargo Pendant is available in over 16 other finishes for the cup and the shade. You also have the option for cute little accessories like a vintage style key or adding arms onto the cup. Don’t forget your <a title="Edison Light Bulb" href="http://www.barnlightelectric.com/light-bulbs/nostalgic-edison-style-light-bulbs/">Edison Light Bulb</a> either, it can really become the finishing touch to your new <a title="barn pendant" href="http://www.barnlightelectric.com/pendant-lighting/barn-pendant-lights/">barn pendant</a>!</p>

The bedroom today is relatively similar in size, but still big on imagination. Many of the elements in the room will grow with the child and won&#8217;t need changed when Sesame Street and dinosaurs are no longer &#8220;cool.&#8221;</p>
<p>When designing a child’s bedroom, it&#8217;s safe to start with a neutral pallet; this allows for any number of accent colors to be used throughout. The reclaimed barn wood wall is as rough and tough as the little boy who sleeps there, while the bedding and whimsical wall art brings in a variety of bold colors.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.blog.barnlightelectric.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/wire-guard-industrial-pendant.jpg"><img class="size-full wp-image-14091 alignleft" title="barn-light-wire-guard-industrial-pendant" src="http://www.blog.barnlightelectric.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/wire-guard-industrial-pendant.jpg" alt="" width="127" height="254" /></a>As for organization and storage, there is a large wooden trunk at the foot of the bed. These are great for storing anything from toys to schoolbooks and sports equipment; it could even be used as clothing storage later on. The large bed is higher off the ground, allowing for a great deal of storage space underneath. And speaking of, the room&#8217;s designer also planned ahead and skipped a traditional toddler bed &#8211; going straight for a full size mattress that won&#8217;t be outgrown anytime soon.</p>
<p>While limited floor space in a bedroom normally leads to lack of wall space, <a title="wall sconces" href="http://www.barnlightelectric.com/wall-sconce-lighting/">wall sconces</a> may not be an option for lighting. With that being said, there should be plenty of ceiling space left which is where our ceiling lights come into play. Fitting in perfectly with the room is the <a title="rustic pendant" href="http://www.barnlightelectric.com/pendant-lighting/rustic-pendant-lights/">rustic pendant</a> centered above the bed. Similar to the the <a title="Barn Light Wire Guard Industrial Pendant" href="http://www.barnlightelectric.com/pendant-lighting/rustic-pendant-lights/barn-light-wire-guard-industrial-pendant">Barn Light Wire Guard Industrial Pendant</a>, this classic vintage looking pendant ties together the rugged and rustic themes. Choose Rosewood or Galvanized finishes for a simple, yet timeless look.</p>

<p>Meet Nick Cavaliere, owner of <a title="Beech Design Group" href="http://www.beechdesigngroup.com/" target="_blank">Beech Design Group</a> in New Jersey! He was kind enough to send us a few of photos of our lights that were installed during one of his recent home improvement projects.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.barnlightelectric.com/pendant-lighting/barn-pendant-lights/barn-light-benjamin-industrial-pendant"><img class="size-full wp-image-11827 alignright" title="benjamin-industrial-pendant" src="http://www.blog.barnlightelectric.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/benjamin-industrial-pendant.png" alt="" width="119" height="113" /></a>Nick is a licensed landscape architect who also does interior design consulting for clients. When Nick and his wife laid out the remodeling plans for a <a title="farmhouse style" href="http://www.industrialfarmhouse.com/">farmhouse kitchen</a> in their 100 year old home, they chose the Barn Light <a title="Benjamin Industrial Pendant" href="http://www.barnlightelectric.com/pendant-lighting/barn-pendant-lights/barn-light-benjamin-industrial-pendant">Benjamin Industrial Pendant</a> complete with <a title="Edison light bulbs" href="http://www.barnlightelectric.com/light-bulbs/nostalgic-edison-style-light-bulbs/">Edison Light Bulbs</a> and cloth cords to hang above their granite counter.</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;We picked these two styles of <a title="Barn Light Pendants" href="http://www.barnlightelectric.com/pendant-lighting/barn-pendant-lights/">Barn Light Pendants</a> for several reasons. First, we were looking for nostalgic lighting that would complement our farmhouse style kitchen&#8230;We also liked the fact that the lights could be customized with many options and finishes. Since we selected all matte-black hardware for our cabinet hardware and faucets, we wanted lights that would coordinate well with them.&#8221;</p></blockquote>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.barnlightelectric.com/pendant-lighting/rustic-pendant-lights/barn-light-wire-guard-industrial-pendant"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-11745" title="wire-guard-pendant-light" src="http://www.blog.barnlightelectric.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/wire-guard-pendant-light.jpg" alt="" width="620" height="373" /></a>Along the back wall of the kitchen, a Barn Light <a title="Wire Guard Industrial Pendant" href="http://www.barnlightelectric.com/pendant-lighting/rustic-pendant-lights/barn-light-wire-guard-industrial-pendant">Wire Guard Industrial Pendant</a> was installed over the sink. Starting at only $113 each, it&#8217;s one of our most popular <a title="rustic pendants" href="http://www.barnlightelectric.com/pendant-lighting/rustic-pendant-lights/">rustic pendants</a>! Now that a large wall has been removed, each of the pendant lights in the kitchen is now visible from the dining room &#8211; an added bonus!</p>
<p>Nick incorporated several elements of industrial farmhouse style into the kitchen. Such examples include stainless steel appliances, white bead board ceilings and country style cabinets surrounding the farmhouse sink.</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;Being a designer myself, I&#8217;m pretty picky about what I select for my home and I do a lot of research to find the perfect items before purchasing. Couldn&#8217;t be happier with the outcome.&#8221;</p></blockquote>

<p>1.) Barn Light Electric <a href="http://www.barnlightelectric.com/gooseneck-barn-lights/camouflage-lighting-camo/benjamin-scout-camouflage-camo-12-stem-mount-warehouse-shade" target="_self">Benjamin Scout Camouflage Stem Mount Pendant</a>; $199.00<br />

3.) The Mountain Line Moose &amp; Bear Wrought Iron Rack; $75.50<br />
4.) Overstock.com Rustic Adirondack Cedar Log Rocking Chair; $159.99<br />

6.) Bass Pro Shops Antler Shed Accent; $44.99</p>
<p>With spring coming early, now is the perfect time to start planning your upcoming redecorating projects. It’s also a beautiful time of year for a trip to the mountains which might lead you to dreaming about rustic, country décor. Rustic designs make it possible to bring the comforts of a mountain cabin into the most metropolitan cave.</p>
<p>When styling your new “cabin,” there are a few necessities. A wooden rocking chair gives any room a relaxing, homey feel all while providing extra seating. Don’t forget that comfy pillow, they’re perfect for lower back support! Keep a magazine rack nearby too; wrought iron magazine racks are very durable and ideal for storing everything from a newspaper to your Barn Light Electric catalog (a must have for every home). You could even put it next to the fireplace for log storage. Place an antler hook by the door to hang keys or coats on, and consider your room nearly transformed!</p>
<p>There is still something missing to complete your rustic roost. Hang our <a href="http://www.barnlightelectric.com/gooseneck-barn-lights/camouflage-lighting-camo/benjamin-scout-camouflage-camo-12-stem-mount-warehouse-shade" target="_self">Benjamin Scout Camouflage Warehouse Shade</a> to add that extra oomph. What’s a log cabin without the appropriate <a title="rustic pendant" href="http://www.barnlightelectric.com/pendant-lighting/rustic-pendant-lights/">rustic pendant</a>? This <a href="http://www.barnlightelectric.com/porcelain-lights-goosenecks-pendants/benjamin-stem-mount-lighting/" target="_self">stem mount pendant</a> is perfect for the interior of your home, but would still look great anywhere outside! The stem is even available in the matching camouflage pattern, should you want to really take your country feel to the next level. But don’t worry – just because this light is camouflaged doesn’t mean it won&#8217;t stand out! Any of our <a href="http://www.barnlightelectric.com/gooseneck-barn-lights/camouflage-lighting-camo/" target="_self">camo lighting</a> choices are sure to bring an interesting conversation piece to your room. The Benjamin Scout Camouflage Pendant starts at only $199.00, making rustic style available even if you can&#8217;t pick up and move to the mountains!</p>
