Earlier this week, we visited with designer Cheryl Sottile in a post featuring a kitchen renovation in the Florida Keys. Cheryl infused tropical hues into the space with our Ivanhoe™ Dino Porcelain Pendant Lights in a creamy Jadite finish. Today, we cross the Sunshine State to visit another one of Cheryl’s project sites, this time in Sarasota where she tackled transforming a former oyster bar into a Mexican restaurant.

In a recent blog post, we visited with Sarah Phipps, a resident of Bend, Oregon, who has been flipping houses for a number of years but is spending more and more time in design consultation. Clients are eager to tap into Sarah’s eclectic style, her skill set, and years of on-the-job knowledge. On a recent project, she transformed a tiny kitchen in an old mill cottage into a functional and funky space. Katrin, of Berkeley, California, had been playing with the thought of a barn light above her aluminum, frosted glass garage door for quite awhile.
“I wanted something modern, but not too modern,” Katrin explains. “I have always loved the concept of mixing very cool and modern items with something more traditional. I wanted something that would have some warmth to it.” When she searched online for barn lights, she discovered Barn Light Electric’s website.
