When the phrase “celebrity home” is brought up, what normally comes to mind? Maybe a sprawling mansion in the Hamptons or an ultra-posh suite at the Chateau Marmont? Sheryl Crow’s New York loft is everything that wouldn’t normally be expected by a star of her caliber. The chic, yet cozy, industrialized loft in the city has a vintage design scheme. Crow chose to incorporate family memorabilia throughout, as well as other gems she found while shopping online.
In her bathroom, Crow opted to add a well used claw foot bathtub for a unique and romantic look, however, she admits it serves more purpose as a decoration since she rarely uses it. Tying in with the vintage scheme is a single bare bulb pendant light. Minimalist lights like these were used all across the U.S., mostly in factories and warehouses. Currently on vintagebarnlighting.com we have one that looks just like Cheryl’s – our Crouse-Hinds Acorn Industrial Light. This is the perfect ceiling light, offering up the same industrial styling as her own bathroom pendant. Be sure to add a vintage Edison Light Bulb to complete the look!
Lining the hallway’s brick wall, she chose vintage Holophane Glass Pendants to hang from the high ceilings (look closely at the far right photo). She staggered their height to bring interest to the art and accessories that line the area. The cord hung holophane glass pendants come fully equipped with a brass or polished nickel socket of your choosing, as well as your choice of cotton twist cord color and length. This makes these vintage barn lights ready to install as soon as you receive them – talk about convenience!
Don’t worry if the shade you love gets snagged up – our stock is always changing. We are constantly adding new finds to our collection of holophane glass, as well as milk glass and cased glass lighting, so keep your eyes peeled for new additions!
