Interior designer Jenn Stuart loves her classic 1950s bungalow located in the Altadore neighborhood in Calgary, Canada. Yet her growing family, including two young boys, needed more space. With her trained eye for design in high gear, Jenn had a good idea of
what to do, so she worked with Copper Brook Homes to help the family move on up. Renovations included gutting the main level to make better use of the space and adding a second level.
“Jenn is an interior designer by trade and knew exactly what she wanted,” says Josh Kulbaba with Copper Brook Homes. “We were happy that she trusted us to create her vision.” Some of the highlights included a fireplace with marble tile, oak flooring with a vegtable oil finish, and this delightful bath for the boys featuring pale blue walls, a playful print on the shower curtain, and bright red barn wall sconces from Barn Light Electric to add a dash of fun.anotherstory to the house plus a top level play area for the kids.
While we no longer sell this exact fixture, you can get a similar look with our Bowie Wall Sconce which has the same styling as some of our larger gooseneck lights but in a more compact fixture. American made by our own craftsmen from commercial grade materials, this classic light comes in two sizes and a dozen durable powdercoat finish colors. Choose Barn Red like these for a punch of color or try a more traditional Bronze, Dark Green, or
Galvanized.
The Bowie Wall Sconce has a projection less than nine inches from the wall so it’s perfect for bathroom vanities or for other tight spots like closets, hallways, or laundry rooms. It’s rated for wet locations so it would provide the perfect spot of focused light for porches or garages too.
