Featured Customer | Jocelyn from Lake Geneva, WI

When planning for an open kitchen and dining room, coordinating your main elements is key. The two spaces must flow harmoniously and utilize similar colors and textures. You may recall our featured customer Jocelyn from a few weeks ago. We presented you with the beautiful exterior of her home that was highlighted by our gooseneck lights and outdoor sconces near the front door.

Judging by the face of her home, Jocelyn has great taste in design – no doubt about it. So when she later sent us photos of her kitchen and dining room, it was a must that we share it with you. Her Lake Geneva, Michigan home was a new build, allowing her to control every detail – from the flooring all the way to the indoor lights.

Over the bar area in the kitchen are three Rocotillo Restaurant Shallow Bowl Pendants. Don’t let the name fool you; these ceiling pendants are great for in-home use as well. By choosing a durable galvanized finish with coordinating white cord, the Rocotillo Pendant ties in with the crisp white cabinetry and stainless steel appliances. Even though her kitchen is open to the nearby dining room, the three pendant lights help to define the two spaces and won’t overcrowd the area.

Her farmhouse style dining table has an unconventional barn chandelier nestled in the center. This style is our Raven Warehouse 3 Light Chandelier and you’ll find it in the same galvanized finish as the nearby pendant lights. When the large windows aren’t letting light in during the evening hours, the Raven Chandelier steps in and helps light up the room.

During the daytime, the Raven even serves a decorative purpose. It has a never-ending style that adapts with any setting it’s installed in, regardless of the finish you’ll choose. The arched necks and chain have a charming rustic quality, blending seamlessly with the traditional, family oriented home. This design stems from our Austin Sconce, which could have also been utilized as wall lighting.
