Amanda Blake Soule – devoted wife, published author and mother of five, writes one of our favorite blogs called Soulemama. While her blog and family life keep her plenty busy, she’s also our featured customer today. Not too long ago, the Soule family moved into a 200 year old farmhouse in western Maine. While the home had “good bones,” it was in need of many renovations; they envisioned turning this farmhouse into a functionable home for their young and growing family. Amanda and her husband even let her young ones get in on the farmhouse facelift – they each got to pick out their favorite paint color for the bedrooms. The vibrant colors that are now adorning the walls add creative character to the home, including the light lime green within the library and craft room.
Recently, the Soule family added our Ivanhoe™ Sky Chief Porcelain Warehouse Pendant to their creative retreat. While the home has large windows that let in sunshine, a little extra light in the evenings can never hurt. The Sky Chief contributes to the playful air of the room, but also keeps with the farmhouse feel of the ceiling beams and wood plank floors.
The Ivanhoe™ Sky Chief consists of a steel spun shade coated with a durable porcelain enamel finish. This helps it keep a like new appearance for years to come – especially if they are installed outdoors. Also available with plenty of different finish options, this warehouse pendant can either bring a touch of color to a neutral toned room or blend seamlessly into an area like we showed today. Want to put the Sky Chief outdoors? Have a look at the Benjamin™ Stem Mount or Goodrich™ Gooseneck options. With the weather resistant aluminum stem or gooseneck arm, your outdoor farmhouse lighting can mirror that if your interior choices too.
