When you’re trying to envision how new lights will look in your home, it helps to look at other people’s spaces. Today’s Featured Customer visited a friend who purchased lights from Barn Light Electric and loved how they looked.
“My friend Arianna renovated the first floor of her beach house a few years ago,” says Tiffany. “She bought all of her fixtures from Barn Light Electric and I thought her place was gorgeous!” When Tiffany started renovating an existing bathroom in her own home in Tacoma, Washington, that dated to 1960, she borrowed space from a bedroom closet to turn one bathroom into two.

In business for more than 50 years, the Friendly Bake Shop of Frankfort, New York, was struggling. Too few options in the display case, a dingy, dated space, and three generations of family members with differing ideas on how to move the family business into the future. Enter Buddy Valastro, better known as the Cake Boss from the hit TLC series. The story of how Buddy helped rally the Viti family and transformed the Friendly Bake Shop was featured in the premiere episode of “The Bakery Boss,” a new TLC offering. Barn Light Electric was proud to support this family business with some porcelain enamel barn lighting to light up their new look!

In Monday’s post, we visited with Kelly in Rochester, Indiana, where she and her husband recently moved into their stunning new pole barn home crafted by AC Builders. The structure sits proudly on the family farm where the couple grow field corn and soybeans and an old blue silo keeps watch in the distance. Kelly chose her half bath off the kitchen to bring the barn look indoors with some farm antiques and an Outback Gooseneck Light highlighting an apron front sink. As a young girl, Kelly often dreamed of designing her own home. Today, she is happily married and living on a farm in northern Indiana where her husband’s great grandparents raised seven children. This land is where Kelly, with the help of AC Builders, finally created the home of her dreams — a red pole barn house with a huge farm shop attached. Kelly didn’t carry the barn theme throughout the whole house, but she wanted to bring the exterior look to at least one room inside. She chose the half bath off her new kitchen to highlight with some classic gooseneck barn lighting.
