Barn Pendants Star in “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” Show

The season of giving is upon us and the show that turned giving into an art form and invited America to grab a tissue and watch it dramatically unfold returns tonight. “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” returns with its final four shows, and tonight’s episode features a family in East Tennessee who opened not only their home but their hearts to lower-income, single mothers in desperate need of a place to live.

Although their home was crumbling from ceiling to foundation and they had three adopted children of their own to care for, Daniel and Mandy Watson worked to establish the nonprofit Restoration House of East Tennessee. Last January, the stars of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition showed up on the Watson’s doorstep to change their lives forever. Led by local firm Grace Construction, more than 4,000 skilled workers, subcontractors, and unskilled volunteers worked around the clock to build a 4,000-plus square foot home with only 106 hours from groundbreaking to unveiling.

Barn Light Electric was honored to provide barn style lighting for the Watson’s new home. And while we can’t spoil the surprise by showing you the finished product, we can tell you that the interior designers working on the show selected our 10″ Barn Light Benjamin™ Industrial Pendant in a Weathered Copper finish for one space in particular. The cup features a Black finish with arms giving the fixture a simple industrial style.

The designers also chose a 10″ Radial Wave Reflector Cord Pendant Light also with a Weathered Copper finish and a standard black cord. Both of these lights are American made by our own craftsmen who spin the shades from commercial grade steel to create the highest quality light.
